USB Flash Drive Recording and Playback
You can record from CDs, cassette tapes, and external input devices to USB flash drives, or from USB, CD, and external inputs to cassette. When recording to USB, recorded files will be saved to automatically generated folders according to the source, simplifying the conversion process without needing a computer.
Mic Input for Karaoke
With the front-mounted mic input, you can record your own performance and mix in the mic signal when playing back and recording CDs, cassettes, and USB flash drives. Karaoke performance is possible when the AD-850 is connected to your mic, amp, and speakers.
Echo Effect
Echo can be added to audio input via the microphone. The front-panel switch lets you choose between two echo levels, or to turn it off. The echo effect adds reverberations to the original sound, repeating it with various amounts of delay and damping over time to simulate the natural reverberation of a hall or studio.
Full Cassette Compatibility
The cassette deck uses a two-head, one-way design for recording and playback. It supports metal tapes for playback, and normal and chrome for both playback and recording. The AD-850 also features pitch control with a ±10% adjustment range and timer recording and playback.
CD Playback of CD-R/RW & MP3 Discs
In addition to pre-recorded CDs, CD-R/RW and MP3 CDs can be played back. During MP3 playback, ID3 tags, file names, and other information is shown. Playback modes include program, shuffle, and repeat. The repeat function can be used together with various other playback modes, including continuous, shuffle, and program. The synchronized start function, which automatically starts playback of the sound source (CD or tape) helps make recording to USB flash drives more straightforward.
Timer Function
A separately sold timer can be used to start cassette recording and playback, as well as CD and flash drive playback.
