For many music lovers, nothing can replace the sound of vinyl to make them feel they have been transported to a live concert or recording venue. The Naim Stageline is dedicated, stand-alone RIAA phono stage that is configured at the factory to offer the correct input impedance and gain for moving magnet (N) cartridges.
The StageLine can be powered either from a special socket on the rear of the NAIT XS or by a separate supply such as the FlatCap XS for even better performance. The Naim StageLine is available in 4 different versions for different cartridges. Please select the appropriate version for your cartridge from the drop-down menu.
The delicate audio circuits are housed within a black alloy enclosure, which shields against electromagnetic interference, which could cause unwanted hum - this is the reason also that Naim has designed the Stageline to operate with a separate 24V DC power supply, to keep unwanted magnetic fields associated with mains transformers well away from the audio circuitry. Simply add any of the compatible Naim power supplies - NAPSC, Flatcap XS, Hi-Cap or Supercap, alternatively certain Naim pre-amplifiers and integrated amplifiers can power the Stageline from a DC socket on their rear panel.
Discrete electronic components are used on the heavy glass fibre printed circuit board to form the Stageline phono amplifiers - this gives better noise performance than integrated circuits, and allows Naim engineers to fine-tune every aspect of performance.
High-quality tantalum and electrolytic capacitors combine with low tolerance metal film resistors and transistors to form the gain blocks - the RIAA equalisation components are even more critically specified, using polystyrene capacitors and 0.1% tolerance metal film resistors for great accuracy of frequency response.
The rear panel of the Stageline has dedicated to a pair of gold-plated phono sockets for connection to your tonearm cables, plus a grounding post to help eliminate unwanted hum. On the right-hand side are the four pin DIN output socket and a five pin DIN power supply socket.
